Edillon urges strengthening of domestic economy

'The thing is the Philippines itself is actually a big market. So actually, we need to strengthen again our domestic economy... Let's do our part, let's prepare for the eventuality that when the dust settles, we can go back to that high growth trajectory,' she said in her speech during the 2nd SGV Tax Symposium, dubbed as 'Tax, Sustainability and You' at Makati City on Wednesday.

The government's economic team retained its growth projections for the country's gross domestic product (GDP) this year at 6 to 7 percent and 6.5 to 8 percent from 2024 to 2028.
