SC upholds ruling declaring BSKE postponement unconstitutional

THE Supreme Court upheld its decision declaring Republic Act (RA) 11935, the law which postponed the Barangay and Sangguniang Elections (BSKE) from December 2022 to October 2023, as unconstitutional.

The SC Public Information Office (SC-PIO) on Tuesday said that the Court has denied with finality the motion for reconsideration (MR) filed by the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) on Oct. 11, 2023, seeking a reversal of the Court's decision issued on June 27, 2023.
