AN Indian philanthropist received the prestigious Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta (UPHSD)-Las Piñas City on October 11, 2023 during the 44th Commencement Exercises of Graduate School, Baccalaureate and Non Degree and 11th Graduation rites of Doctor of Medicine held at Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

With the theme, 'Wholistic Approach Toward Excellence and Resurgence,' the event was attended by esteemed guests of honors and speakers Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte and Senator Sherwin Gatchalian and the Tamayo family, marking a significant milestone in Gunasekar Ariyamuthu's lifelong journey.
