NPA rebel killed in Apayao encounter

GAMU, Isabela: A member of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army (CPP-NPA) was killed in an encounter with the Philippine Army's 17th Infantry Battalion (17IB), a report by the Army's 5th Infantry Division (5ID) said on Saturday, October 21.

The 5ID report identified the fatality as Roger Antonio alias Bernard, a resident of Barangay Peru, Lasam town in Cagayan province.
