Aboitiz Power Corp. (AboitizPower) collaborated with South Cotabato Electric Cooperative Inc. (Socoteco-1) to provide electrical materials to Barangay Benitez, Banga, South Cotabato in support of the national government’s Sitio Electrification Program. Building on last year’s “Light a home” electrification project, the donation included light-emitting diode or LED bulbs, thermoplastic water-resistant wires, polyvinyl chloride or PVC pipes, breakers and meter boxes. The donation will help support the government’s aim to achieve full electrification by 2028 by reaching unserved families — about 1.8 million Filipino households, based on the 2020 census — particularly those in remote areas.
