Councilor faces punitive action

BACOLOD CITY: The consecutive absences of La Castellana Councilor Donato Dumaguit for seven Sanggunian Bayan (Municipal Council) sessions may cost him his post.

Teodora Sumagaysay, provincial director of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), said the Local Government Code provides disciplinary actions for erring local legislators.
