PDEA: 27.7K villages drug-cleared since the start of Marcos' term

MORE than 27,000 villages (barangay) across the country have been cleared of illegal drugs since the start of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Thursday.

In its latest report on the national anti-drug campaign, the PDEA said 27,799 out of 42,000 barangays (villages) in the country have been declared 'drug-cleared' from July 1, 2022, to Sept. 30 this year while 7,738 are still being cleared by authorities.
