A ranking member of the House of Representatives said that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had "good reasons" to make sure that there are safeguards in the implementation of the Maharlika Investment Fund.

House Appropriations Committee Vice Chairman and Aklan 2nd District Rep. Teodorico Haresco lauded the President for the suspension and review of the MIF's implementing rules and regulations (IRR), saying move was the "stewardship role expected of him."
