First of 4 parts

WRITING the final research manuscript — whether this be a thesis or dissertation — is no holiday. Briefly, the researcher writes the Chapter 1, titled "The Problem and Its Scope," with an inviting and scientifically worded introduction, clear research statements, followed by a schematic diagram that snapshots the investigation, writes the theoretical and conceptual framework with the researcher knowing the difference between these two sections, citing the significance of the research in filling in the knowledge gap which would benefit humanity. In Chapter 2, the researcher succinctly summarizes and synthesizes related research literature reviewed. In the third chapter, the researcher describes the "how" — the research design, the methods used, who the research respondents were, and where they were (the setting of the study — which details are context components of the research questions). Chapter 3 likewise describes the statistical tools and kind of research instrument/s used (questionnaires, surveys, interviews, etc.) and establishes the instruments' validity. In describing the data collection, the researcher uses the past tense since the data had been collected when writing the manuscript, which, at that time, the research had passed its oral defense. As in the third chapter, the use of the past tense accordingly is used in Chapter 4. The researcher reports on the analysis of the data collected, highlighting this by referring to several of the literature reviewed, which had been earlier presented in Chapter 2. In Chapter 5, the final chapter, the researcher succinctly summarizes the findings and conclusions. Not sounding like a know-it-all, the researcher avoids using "should" in the Recommendations, which aligns with the Significance of the Study stated in Chapter 1.
