THERE is a need to integrate modern farming in the educational system to counter the lack of interest among the youth in agriculture, the top official of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham) told The Manila Times.
"There really is a need to attract fresh, young blood into the agriculture sector ... The youth are a key component to ensuring our future food security," said AmCham Agribusiness Committee Chairman Christopher Matthew Ilagan during an exclusive interview through Viber on Tuesday.
