GERMAN pharmaceutical and biotechnology firm Bayer AG is seeking to expand the direct-seeded rice (DSR) system in the Philippines to reduce water usage.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Bayer said that it plans to introduce the system in the country by 2024, adding that this could reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
