After pulling off masterful victories against Arena FIDE Master Biket Zharokov of Kazakhstan, Tony Weller of Australia, National Master Quirino Sagario and FIDE Master Antonio Molina of the Philippines in the first four rounds, defending champion Bagamasbad toppled National Master Mario Mangubat of the Philippines and International Master Master Aitkazy Baimurzin of Kazakhstan on Wednesday to remain on top of the leader board in the 65-year-old and above category with 6.0 points.
