THE Supreme Court has been asked to set oral arguments on the congressional dispute in the first district of Zamboanga del Norte between former congressman Romeo Jalosjos Jr. and election rival Roberto "Pinpin" Uy Jr.

In a 25-page comment and opposition filed before the High Court last October 6, the Jalosjos camp, through counsel Edwarde Gialogo, sought the oral argument in response to the motion of Uy to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to proclaim him as the winner for the position of congressman of the first district of Zamboanga del Norte in the last May 2022 polls.
