Filipino-Japanese captain overcomes challenges to lead

HIDEKI Christ Fujishige is a Filipino Japanese millennial who, at first glance, seems to be a character straight out of anime. Unruly hair, almond-shaped eyes, fair skin — the young man exudes the full impression of an adolescent shy gamer.

A closer observation, however, would reveal a depth and difference to this notion.
