IN the wake of the clash in Abra last Friday that left two communist guerrillas dead, Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Jr. said internal security remains a priority of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

At the recent opening of the Assistance for Security Peace, Integration and Recovery for Advancing Human Security (Aspire) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Teodoro reiterated the need to reduce the proliferation of loose firearms in order to ensure the country's internal security.
