Meralco coach Luigi Trillo expects first-round rookie pick Brandon Bates to do the "dirty work" for the Bolts as he settles with the team and prepares for the PBA Season 48 set to open on November 5.
Selected eighth overall in the PBA draft last September, Bates has enough time to get into the team's system since skipping the Bolts' recent stint in the Doha International Basketball Tournament where they placed seventh in the eight-team field.
