CAMP MELCHOR DELA CRUZ, Gamu, Isabela: An alleged member of the New People's Army (NPA) was killed during an encounter between the communist rebels and government soldiers in the mountains of Buneg, Lacub, Abra Friday morning, the military division here said.
Maj. Rigor Pamittan, 5th Infantry Division public affairs chief and spokesman, said that the slain male insurgent, whose identity has yet to be established, was a member of the Kilusang Larangang Gerilya-Abra (KLG-Abra).
