LUNOD, a short documentary film from the Philippines, won the "Best Environmental Documentary" at the Discover Film Awards, one of the biggest short film festivals in the world with over 4,000 annual submissions from more than 100 countries.
Directed and written by Mads Miraflor, a former journalist and aspiring filmmaker, "Lunod" explored the story of Nelly Delacarzada, a Dumagat Tribe member, and her deep connection with a sacred river in Rizal Province, along with the harrowing tales of individuals who have tragically drowned in its waters.
