A postcard of Philippines 2050

WITH the recent developments in Israel and the Palestinian territories contributing to the global tension between China and Taiwan, Russia and Ukraine, and Armenia and Azerbaijan, where is the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) getting the courage to stage the Philippine Business Conference and Expo (PBC&E) 2023 with the theme "Vision 2050: The Philippines A First-World Economy"? And if you are not young enough to witness this (and with God's grace it happens), do you care?

Renowned Filipino world-class architect Felino "Jun" Palafox Jr. is the chairman of this year's biggest business event: the 49th PBC&E. He is the proponent of this theme, which admittedly went through his defense among the initially reluctant PCCI board. This article echoes what Palafox now resonates along with the business sector onward to Vision 2050. It is a "Postcard from the Future" which we have the chance to make a choice to change.
