PH to launch national halal strategy

THE Philippines will be launching a National Halal Strategy before the end of 2023, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said on Thursday, which aims to generate P230 billion in trade and investments, and create 120,000 jobs in five years.

'Over the next five years, we plan to achieve P230 billion halal trade and investments, and generate 120,000 jobs,' Trade and Industry Secretary Alfredo Pascual said in a report.
