Connor Bedard wasted no time putting in his first National Hockey League (NHL) point, as he and the Chicago Blackhawks stunned the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2 at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on Tuesday (Wednesday in Manila) on what is the first day of the League's regular season.
At 15:37 of the 2nd period, the young forward was credited with a secondary assist on a goal from forward Ryan Donato. At the time, Chicago was trailing 2-1 to Pittsburgh, who netted the first goal of the 2023-24 NHL season, courtesy of a tip-in goal by forward Bryan Rust seven minutes into the first period.
