Farmers in North Luzon are enjoying the benefits of high palay prices following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s order to increase the buying price of palay.
Fresh palay can be sold for an average of P20 per kilogram (kg), while dry palay fetches a higher price -- P26 per kg, said Samuel Lugo, president of the Tumauini Irrigation Pilot Area, a federation of Irrigators' Associations (IAs) in Isabela.
