No application yet for LBP-DBP merger

THE government may have announced plans to merge state-owned Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) and the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) but it has yet to formally ask regulators to approve the union.

'Right now we have not received any application for [a] merger,' Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli Remolona Jr. told reporters on Wednesday.
