Government pushes digital transformation to combat corruption

In the past few months, we have seen how the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. continues to push for e-governance through digital transformation. Several policies and innovations were put in place to realize this.

In previous articles, I discussed some pieces of legislation that are needed for e-governance, including Republic Act 10844 or the law that created the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT). Because of this law, we now have a central agency primarily focused on pushing for e-governance in the country. Without the DICT, all digital transformation efforts by the government will be short-lived and lack long-term planning and sustainable effort.
