GenAI poses challenges, offers opportunities to IT-BPO sector

The rise of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) comes with both challenges and opportunities for the country's information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) sector.

Jack Madrid, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), said that among others, there is an 'urgent need to upskill the workforce to adapt to new roles and meet evolving demands'.
