DAVAO CITY: The Office of the Presidential Assistant for Eastern Mindanao (Opamine) based here is now closely coordinating with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) to ensure the safety and security of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) trapped in the ongoing fighting between Israel and Palestine.

Opamine Secretary Leo Magno immediately got in touch with DMW undersecretary Maria Anthonette Velasco-Allones to determine the number of OFWs in Eastern Mindanao who are currently working in Israel, which was attacked on Saturday by the Hamas.
