THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has sought the issuance of a precautionary hold departure order (PHDO) against the leader and members of the Socoro Bayanihan Services Inc. (SBSI), an alleged religious cult, to prevent them from leaving the country pending the resolution of the complaints filed against them.
Jose Dominic Clavano 4th, Department of Justice (DoJ) assistant secretary and concurrent spokesman, said on Tuesday that the NBI filed the motion for the issuance of PHDO against the respondents on Monday, October 9, before the DoJ panel of prosecutors that conducted the preliminary investigation on the complaints against the alleged religious cult in Surigao del Norte.
