THE country's trade deficit narrowed in August as exports rebounded while imports continued to contract, preliminary data from the Philippine Statistics Authority showed on Tuesday.
At $4.13 billion, the merchandise trade gap eased from July's $4.20 billion. It was also significantly lower compared to the year-earlier $6.03 billion.
