Gilas Pilipinas team manager Alfrancis Chua said what made the national team special was that players 'didn't ask for a single centavo' as they played for the Philippines during its historic gold medal achievement in the 19th Asian Games men's basketball in Hangzhou, China.

'Nothing, they (Gilas players) didn't get anything extra just to play for the Asian Games. But if you're gonna ask if they will receive anything now (for winning the gold), of course, it's gold may matatanggap sila ngayon of course gold eh,' Chua told media men during Monday's (October 9) press conference at the PBA office in Libis, Quezon City.
