THE country's gross international reserves (GIR) dipped to $98.7 billion in September, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported late on Friday, down some $878 million from $99.6 billion a month earlier.
The dip was mainly caused by the national government settling foreign currency debt obligations and a decline in BSP's gold holdings value following a global drop in gold prices.
