Fitzpatrick takes lead at Alfred Dunhill

LONDON: Matthew Fitzpatrick seized a one-shot lead at the halfway stage of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland on Friday, just five days after winning the Ryder Cup with Europe in Rome.

The Englishman showed no side effects of the short turnaround and fired an eight-under-par 64 at Kingsbarns in the second round to move to 13-under overall.
