PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. congratulated Gilas Pilipinas for bringing home the Asian Games basketball crown, which the Philippines last won in 1962.

'I know every Filipino is proud to be called one today. Congratulations, Gilas Pilipinas, on this incredible feat!' Marcos said in a statement posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
