Lyceum of the Philippines University clawed its way back from the dead as it survived an upset-conscious Arellano University, 89-77, in overtime on Friday to stay unscathed and atop the heap in NCAA Season 99 at the Filoil EcoOil Arena.

The Pirates drew strength from their tenacious defense in digging themselves out of a 24-point grave, forcing extra time and stealing their fifth straight win that kept them comfortably perched at the helm.
