AN important initiative to emerge from the recent Group of 20 (G20) summit in India was the launch of the Global Biofuels Alliance (GBA), which has the broad goal of extending and developing markets for sustainable biofuels. Given the problematic state of energy security here in the Philippines, our leadership should strongly consider the several advantages that joining the new alliance would bring.
