SEN. Rafael "Raffy" Tulfo called for a Senate investigation into the case of Filipinos who complained that they were swindled into paying thousands of pesos for non-existing jobs in Italy.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said that as of Tuesday, the number of complainants who said they each paid as much as P178,000 or 3,000 euros to an illegal recruiter has risen from 60 to 221.
