A MAJORITY of adult Filipinos favor the hiring of unlicensed nurses as assistants or aides to augment the workforce in government hospitals, according to a survey conducted by OCTA Research.

The survey comes after the government and the private sector signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that would allow non-passers to be employed in private and public hospitals while also being trained for the Nursing Licensure Exam (NLE).
