IM Labog dominates Davao del Norte chess tournament

International Master Eric Labog Jr. made his presence felt in Davao del Norte by winning all the marbles in the 2nd Cong. Alan R. Dujali National Open Individual and Team Chess Championships held over the weekend.

Seeded second behind International Master Ronald Dableo (Elo 2278) among more than 150 participants, the former ASEAN under-18 champion was unstoppable in the two-day, nine-round and FIDE-rated tournament held at the Maria Clara Resorts in Panabo City.
