A TOTAL of 4,700 residents in Leyte received cash assistance under various programs of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) on October 1 and 2.
Tingog party-list, led by its director for community engagements Karla Estrada, and the office of House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, were present during the payout to 1,000 beneficiaries each from the towns of Carigara and Palompon, 2,500 from Tacloban city under the DSWD's Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) and Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad), and 180 students that were enlisted to the government internship program (GIP).
