THE peso ended the day stronger on Wednesday, but the stock market fell below the 6,300 level as investors awaited today's release of September inflation data.
The currency strengthened by 7 centavos to P56.71 against the dollar while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) lost 7.79 points, or 0.12 percent, to 6,298.20.
