Marcial knocks out Syrian foe, punches ticket to finals, Paris Olympics

Filipino Olympic boxer Eumir Marcial has punched his ticket to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, after advancing to the 71-80 kilogram division finals of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China on Wednesday.

Marcial knocked out Ahmad Ghousoon in the second round of the semifinals on Wednesday to secure a spot in the gold medal match against Tanglatihan Tuohetaerbieke of China on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
