LEGAZPI CITY: Muriel Ann Madrona-Dino, a pregnant public-school teacher, was heading for home from school when she and her students were caught in a crossfire between New People's Army (NPA) rebels and members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) near the Bicol International Airport (BIA) on Tuesday afternoon.
Madrona-Dino and her students were on board a public utility jeepney (PUJ) that passed through the Maharlika Highway within the junction of Bascaran and Alobo villages near the BIA where the gunbattle had taken place.
