CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: The provincial government of Oriental Mindoro has announced the initial release of the compensation for fishermen who were affected by an oil spill after a tanker sank in February this year.
Oriental Mindoro Gov. Humerlito Dolor said on his social media post that the International Oil Pollution Compensation (IOPC) had distributed compensation ranging from P3,000 to P70,000 to 816 out of the 827 eligible claimants.
