It may be an ugly win, but Gilas Pilipinas interim coach Tim Cone is just glad the national squad was able to "find a way to win" against an Iran side that made a tough stand before falling, 84-83 in their 19th Asian Games men's basketball quarterfinal clash on Tuesday, October 3 in Hangzhou, China.
Gilas led by as many as 21 points, but got outscored by Iran, 29-11 in the final period, before naturalized player Justin Brownlee buried the go-ahead basket to seal the Philippines' win and clinch a spot in the Final Four for the first time since 2002.
