THE Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Milan and Italian authorities are investigating fraud and illegal recruitment cases reported by Filipinos who collectively paid about P38.7 million for jobs in Italy which turned out to be non-existent.
The PCG said the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) will provide Italian lawyers to assist complainants in filing cases against the individuals and agencies involved.
