PUV modernization program ushers in economic growth, creates over 3,000 jobs

THE Philippines is forging ahead in its quest for modernization through the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP), promising not only enhanced transportation services but also a substantial economic windfall, with the creation of more than 3,000 jobs in the manufacturing sector. Representing the Automotive Body Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (Abmap), Von Carlo Deveza highlighted the program's role in fueling economic growth and prosperity.

Spearheaded by the Philippine government, the PUVMP is a comprehensive blueprint designed to elevate public transportation nationwide. It revolves around the upgrading of public utility vehicles (PUVs) to meet heightened safety, efficiency, and environmental standards, offering commuters a more reliable and comfortable transportation experience.
