THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Monday that "Jenny" has intensified into a typhoon but it will not likely hit land.
Weather specialist Obe Badrina said that the typhoon was last spotted 675 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan. It had maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph.
