Typhoon Jenny further intensifies while moving over Philippine Sea

TYPHOON Jenny has steadily intensified while moving northwest over the Philippine Sea, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.

Estimated some 485 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes, 'Jenny' is moving at 15 kilometers per hour (kph) with maximum sustained winds of 155 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 190 kph, the (Pagasa) said in a press briefing past 5 p.m.
