More areas under typhoon signal as 'Jenny' intensifies

More areas in northern Luzon have been placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 as Typhoon Jenny intensified.

In its 11 a.m. update on Monday, the weather bureau said 'Jenny' now packs maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph. The typhoon was last tracked 600 km. east of Calayan, Cagayan.
