'Ang Unang Aswang' opens October 4

The FEU Theater Guild (FTG), along with the FEU Center for the Arts (FCA), ends its 89th season with 'Ang Unang Aswang.'

The play takes place in a dangerous forest ruled by the wilderness written by Palanca awardee playwright Rody Vera and directed FTG artistic director Dudz Teraña.
With sharp teeth, venomous stares, and the rabidness of a wild animal, the Aswang searches for her identity in a village she has not been to before. Will her curiosity towards her origin urge her to search for her identity? Will a gut-wrenching deed done by a boy bring out her true nature to consume her own offspring?
Join the exploration of fear and hesitation. Hear the songs and the voices of the chorus that whisper like winds through the forest, and the chants of elements in the woods that sway to the sound of the bamboo.
Ang 'Aswang' will alternately be played by Dianne Andallo, Jazzie Alejo, Brigitta Marilla and Margarita Barrameda.
Raffaele Pascua and Arvin Jade Javier as alternate shall essay the role of the 'Aso.'
Davewyn Macawile will play the role of the 'Pusa', and Jonas Cunanan as The 'Baboy Ramo.' Aaron Bayani is The Binata. Finally, the Asawa is played by Kesiah Aritao.
The play opens October 4 and will run until December 9 every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 6 p.m. at FEU Center for the Arts Studio in FEU Manila.
