Pampanga secures top spot in MPBL playoffs

Pampanga and Quezon Province posted easy victories on Saturday in the penultimate schedule of the OKBet-Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) elimination round at the Quezon Convention Center.

The Pampanga Giant Lanterns, showing toughness even without main man Justine Baltazar, trounced the San Juan Knights, 89-73, to top the North Division and finish with the overall best record of 26-2 heading to the playoffs starting October 6.
